Clear Horizons ECHS Leadership Team

Clear Horizons Principal:  Marshall A. Ponce, M.Ed.
Mrs. Ponce is a fourth-generation Texas educator who is in her 29th year of service.  She has spent her career supporting the efforts of public schools, including two International Baccalaureate Schools and in Pediatrics at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.  With an extensive background in counseling and psychology, Mrs. Ponce completed her degrees and certifications through Texas A&M University, Sam Houston State University, and Lamar University.  Prior to Clear Horizons, Mrs. Ponce served as a Counselor Trainer for I.B. North America and as the Principal of Clear Creek Intermediate. She was the Head Counselor at a high school located on the U.S.- Mexico border that won the 2006 RAMP Award from the American School Counseling Association for creating a "Recognized Model Program".  Mrs. Ponce earned post-graduate professional certifications in college admissions, school leadership, and closing the achievement gaps from the Harvard Principal Center and Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Dean of Instruction & Assistant Principal:  Brooke Parker, Ed.D.
Dr. Parker has been a secondary school administrator for 11 years, serving at Clear Springs High School and Clear Creek High School prior to joining Clear Horizons.  A former English teacher with a background in theatre arts, Dr. Parker holds degrees from the University of St. Thomas and the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Head Counselor & Director of College Counseling:  Paula Evard, M.Ed.

Mrs. Evard served as a counselor at Clear Lake High School for 14 years prior to coming to Clear Horizons. She has also worked in Pearland, Goose Creek, and Galena Park ISD. She holds degrees from Baylor University and the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
