Clear Horizons Recruitment Plan

Students are informed of Clear Horizons ECHS through the following strategies:

 

  • Each fall counselors from all ten (10) intermediate schools are invited to Clear Horizons for an information luncheon, tour, and student panel question and answer session.
  • Every student in CCISD 8th grade receives a letter explaining Clear Horizons and inviting them to an information night.The letters are sent in December of the 8th grade year.
  • A district-wide call out is made to every 8th grade student explaining the application process and informing students of information night dates, times, and locations.
  • Parent Student Information nights are held at five (5) intermediate schools across the district during the months of January and February.
  • Before each parent information night a callout is made to the 8th grade students attending the school at which the meeting is going to occur, as well as a sister school near the meeting location.
  • A parent information night is held at Clear Horizons ECHS in mid-February before the application deadline.
  • Each spring the principal of Clear Horizons presents information about Clear Horizons at the annual counselor meeting.All counselors (elementary, intermediate school, and high school) are in attendance.
  • Throughout the year, all information about application and Clear Horizons is posted on the campus website.
